FAQ & support

Frequently asked questions

Does it work with block themes and WooCommerce blocks?

Yes. The button is added to classic templates, to the Add to Cart Form and Add to Cart with Options blocks, and to the Product Button block used by Product Collection. The plugin is compatible with High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS) and the Cart & Checkout blocks.

Can customers still buy normally?

Yes. By default prices and Add to cart stay visible and quotes work alongside normal purchases. Turn on catalog mode to hide prices and/or Add to cart — globally, per product, or (Pro) with rules.

Can I hide prices only for some products?

Yes. Every product has a Request a Quote tab in the product data box where you can override the global settings: allow quotes, hide price and hide Add to cart. With Pro, rules can do it by category, tag, stock status or customer role.

Are hidden prices really hidden?

Yes. Hidden prices are removed from product pages and lists, from the data used by WooCommerce blocks (Store API) and from the product's structured data for search engines. Products with hidden Add to cart also can't be added to the cart through links or the API.

Do customers need an account?

No — guests can request quotes by default. Turn off Guest requests to require login. Logged-in customers get their details pre-filled, and their quote list follows them across devices.

Which products can be quoted?

Simple and variable products (including variations with "any" attributes). Products without a price can be quoted too. Out-of-stock products can be quoted with Pro's Out of stock products option.

Where do I change the email texts?

In WooCommerce › Settings › Emails: New quote request, Quote request received and Quote reply (plus the Pro emails). You can preview them there. To change the HTML, override the templates in your theme.

Emails are not arriving. What can I do?

Quotes are always saved in Quotes › All Quotes, even if an email fails. If no store emails arrive at all, your server is probably not sending mail — install an SMTP plugin and connect it to your email provider. Also check that the email is enabled in WooCommerce › Settings › Emails.

Does it work with page caching?

Yes. The quote page is never cached, the quote counter updates from a cookie on cached pages, and the Add to quote button refreshes its security token automatically if a cached page is old.

Is it translation ready?

Yes. All texts are translatable — contribute translations on translate.wordpress.org or use a plugin such as Loco Translate.

Will I lose my quotes if I deactivate or delete the plugin?

No. Deactivating never deletes anything. Deleting the plugin only removes data if you turned on Remove data on uninstall.

What happens to my data when I upgrade to Pro?

Nothing changes — Pro is an add-on that uses the same quotes and settings. If you later stop using Pro, your quotes stay and the free features keep working.

What data is shared?

The plugin uses the Freemius SDK for an optional usage-data opt-in, the Add-Ons page and Pro purchases.
